We’ve never been great at “drops.” What we’re good at is rooms.

This August, we’re building one in Washington, DC. ROOT x OYATO — two days, the 8th and 9th — a pop-up that’s less about a checkout line and more about being in the same space as people who feel the pull between home and here.

If you’ve been to a Motherland Humans gathering, you know the difference. It’s not a store with a guest list. It’s closer to a living room that happens to have things in it — the kind of afternoon where you came for the pieces and stayed for the conversation. Co-creation over spectacle. That’s the whole point.

This one is a collaboration, which means it carries more than our fingerprints. ROOT and OYATO each bring their own world to the table, and the overlap — the in-between — is exactly the terrain we like to work in.

We’re keeping some of it a surprise on purpose. What we can tell you: the dates are August 8–9, 2026, the city is Washington, DC, and the door is open to anyone who’s curious.

Full details — the where, the when-exactly, how to come through — live on our Gatherings page, and we’ll keep it updated as the weekend gets closer.

Come sit with us. Bring someone who’d get it.
